Etcher and engraver. Born at Frome, Somerset, he studied art in Bristol before attending the Royal College of Art under Frank Short and W R Lethaby. Elected RA in 1926. Osborne was an influential teacher who was head of the engraving school at the Royal College of Art for many years.
