Trained in Design at Goldsmiths  Amy Dyer was H.A.Finney’s life time partner, (her previous marriage having resulted in two children).  As a mother and wife her career as an artist was compromised but she carried on teaching Art after her marriage at Luckley Oakfield school in Wokingham, Berkshire, until she retired.

Amy Dyer studied design at Goldsmiths College in South London and later at Reading University, under Professor Betts who was head of Fine Art. In 1946 she became the artist H.A. Finney’s life time partner (her previous marriage having resulted in two children). As a mother and wife her career as an artist was compromised but she carried on teaching Art after her marriage at Luckley Oakfield school in Wokingham, Berkshire, until she retired.
