Women Only Works on Paper

Liss Llewellyn are delighted to share news of our upcoming exhibition, WOW: Women Only Works on Paper, which opens at the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle, on the 17th May, 2021.

This exhibition showcases works on paper by 38 British women artists between 1905 and 1975.

The featured artists approached the medium in various ways, to transform paper into beautiful and complex works of art.

This exhibition celebrates the diversity of these approaches and highlights the ways in which paper provided artists with a rich arena for artistic innovation.
